Author: Ondrej

Ondrej is Czech and Slovak born paramedic, avid hiker and photographer who spent over a decade in corporate sales roles - Siemens, Xerox, Sparkasse, EDS, Czech Airlines - before walking away from all of it. After a relationship ended and the job stopped making sense, he sold his car, gave up his flat, and covered 1,600 km on foot. He now works in public emergency medical services on the border of Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Ondrej writes Selftrails: trail-tested routes, gear, and the psychology of rebuilding a life on foot, publishes his photography focused on the visual aesthetic on Statementless, and conducts hikes and treks for himself, as well as for friends, colleagues, and fellow walkers looking to reset on foot. Curious by nature, shaped by experience, he always plans a B.
